History of “Sokolov, Maslov & Partners” dates back to 1992, when lawyers of AKP “Sovcomflot” Mikhail Sokolov and Iftikhar Pirov decided to set up own business. Georgiy Maslov, one of the most famous maritime lawyers in the USSR and, later on, in Russia, became their partner and teacher.Development of the firm took place during the years of intensive reforms, which changed both maritime industry and economy in general.
