In 1990 two lawyers, Lilia Vlasova and Natalia Kozyrenko, established the first private law practice in the Republic of Belarus under ‘Law Laboratory’ name. In 1996 the company was renamed in Vlasova & Partners. The establishment of the company coincided with the private sector creation in the country. The company can proudly state that it has greatly contributed to the private sector development in the Republic of Belarus in the 1990’s, having provided legal support, particularly in privatization of state-owned companies and company formation & registration, to a large number of business entities. At the same time the company actively developed another business activity – legal support to foreign investors intending to enter Belarusian market. In the mid 1990’s Vlasova & Partners was holding a leading position in legal services market in the Republic of Belarus. The company's leading position has been recognized many times by international professional press and ratings organisations. For the past five years, Chambers Global has been recognising Vlasova & Partners as a leading national law firm in Business Law. Additionally, in 2006 three of company’s partners were honored as among Belarusian leading business lawyers by Chambers Global. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus recognised Vlasova & Partners as one of the three leading national law firms based on performance in 2006. In 2006 two leading national law firms Vlasova & Partners and Mikhel & Partners started the merge process aimed at gaining the larger market share and improving the quality of legal services provided to national companies and foreign investors. In 2006 the Law Firm ‘Mikhel & Partners’, founded in 1998, was recognised as one of the national leading law firms by Chambers Global. Additionally, Konstantin Mikhel, the company’s managing partner, was honored as among Belarusian leading business lawyers by Chambers Global. In April, 2007 the Law Firm ‘Vlasova & Partners’ completed the merger with the Law Firm ‘Mikhel & Partners’. Since April 12, 2007 two companies have been providing legal services under ‘Vlasova Mikhel & Partners’ name. The company employs more than 20 lawyers.
